What you do

Replace existing grass with drought-tolerant, permeable landscape products (or qualifying artificial turf per page) after pre-inspection approval.

Requirements

  • Do not start before pre-inspection approval
  • Drought tolerant and permeable replacement
  • Irrigation capped, eliminated or converted to drip; partial conversions on a separate valve
  • Maintain for at least 5 years
  • Complete within 60 days of Notice to Proceed
  • Itemized dated original sales receipts at post-inspection; products only, no labor, existing artificial turf, installation, accessories or taxes
  • Apply once per fiscal year limit applies

  4. 4Contact Water Conservation for post-inspection and provide receipts
  5. 5Check mailed within 8 weeks after completing the process
