What you do

Buy and install a WaterSense-labeled weather-based or soil-moisture smart irrigation controller.

Requirements

  • Purchase after June 1, 2024
  • WaterSense-labeled controller, weather-based or with soil moisture sensor
  • Programmed to follow City of El Paso watering ordinance
  • Itemized receipt showing date, vendor, price, model
  • Proof of installation (photo or contractor receipt)
  • EPWater may inspect up to 90 days after application

How to apply

  1. 1Buy a WaterSense-labeled smart controller and install it
  2. 2Complete the Smart Irrigation Controller rebate application PDF
  3. 3Attach itemized receipt and proof of installation
  4. 4Email to [email protected] (page also says submit within 60 days of purchase)

Rebate appears on water bill within 1 to 2 billing cycles.
