Stormwater fee credits in Virginia
7 programs in Virginia pay residents for stormwater fee credits. 7 list themselves as open now. 29% ask for a plan, sketch or plant list before they approve a project.
Cities that charge a stormwater fee often cut it for homes that manage their own runoff with rain barrels, rain gardens or permeable surfaces. The credit is a percentage off the fee and usually has to be renewed or re-certified.
