What you do

Install a WaterSense-labeled smart Wi-Fi irrigation controller (or add-on module or pre-approved device) and keep smart features on.

Requirements

  • Controller must be on the EPA WaterSense product list; devices like Oto or Irrigreen need pre-approval
  • Receipts with proof of payment, purchase in same calendar year, make/model/SKU, itemized cost
  • Photo of installed controller (not packaging)
  • Schedule a final inspection to verify installation and settings
  • Keep smart weather functions enabled; allow follow-up contact
  • W-9 if $600+ in City rebates in a year
