Syzygium smithii, commonly known as lilly pilly, is an evergreen Australian tree native to wet sclerophyll forests and rainforests along the eastern coast. In garden cultivation, it forms a dense, upright canopy reaching eight to ten metres high, clothed in glossy dark green, lanceolate leaves.

This species is highly valued for its strong natural resistance to the disfiguring lilly pilly psyllid, which severely affects other members of the genus. The new foliage flushes with distinctive pink, bronze, or reddish-brown tones before maturing, followed by white-cream flowers and edible pink-to-purple berries.
