What you do

Install an EPA WaterSense labeled weather-based (smart) irrigation controller, or pair a standard controller with a WaterSense labeled add-on or plug-in device.

Requirements

  • Controller must be EPA WaterSense labeled and listed on epa.gov/watersense, or paired with a labeled add-on device that appears on the sales receipt
  • New equipment, installed and operable
  • Application received within 6 months of purchase
  • Receipt showing make, model, cost, purchase date
  • BWS may inspect before payment and up to 5 years after
  • Previously rebated applicants not eligible again for same device type

How to apply

  1. 1Buy and install the controller
  2. 2Complete the Residential Rebate Application (Rev 4.2026) and sign the Terms
  3. 3Mail to Water Sensible Program, P.O. Box 1440, Honolulu, HI 96806 or email [email protected] with the receipt
  4. 4Check mailed to payee after processing
