The Story
Plant Bio
Epipremnum aureum, golden pothos, is a broadleaf evergreen climbing vine from the Society Islands, trailing or climbing thirteen to forty feet. Glossy heart-shaped leaves marbled gold on green are carried on slender green stems striped white or yellow, and adventitious roots grip whatever the stems meet.
Given something to climb, the leaves grow steadily larger and eventually split like a monstera, which is why the small trailing plant most people know is not the mature form at all. It roots from any stem section with a node, in plain water, which makes it one of the easiest houseplants to multiply. The sap is a mouth irritant.
