Melaleuca ericifolia, commonly known as swamp paperbark, is an upright, evergreen Australian shrub or small tree native to damp coastal and sub-coastal regions of south-eastern Australia. It features characteristic whitish to pale grey papery bark that peels in thin layers, and small, dark green linear leaves arranged in whorls or scattered along the stems.

This species is highly adapted to waterlogged soils, frequently forming dense thickets in coastal swamps and along watercourses through aggressive root suckering. In spring and summer, it produces small, dense, creamy-white cylindrical flower spikes resembling miniature bottlebrushes on short lateral shoots.
