Bald Cypress is a large, pyramidal, deciduous conifer with soft, feathery foliage that turns a beautiful coppery-bronze in autumn before dropping. It is famous for its adaptability to both wet and dry sites and its buttressed trunk. 'Green Whisper' is a cultivar selected for its exceptionally fine-textured, almost fluffy foliage that gives the tree a very soft, graceful appearance. It also tends to have a strong central leader and a dense, symmetrical form.
